The laboratory for Tumor and Immune Cell Metabolism

is offering a


Limited for 3 years (from March 1st, 2018 onwards) with possibility for Extension

The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the context of the SFB Transregio network TRR 221. Our research group belongs to the Department of Internal Medicine III of the University Medical Center of Regensburg. The project deals with the role of vitamin D in the context of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The successful candidate will work with murine transplantation models and murine as well as human immune cells. Experience in the field of immunology or with animal models will be of advantage. We expect a strong interest in immunology and the medical background of the Project.

Your field of activity

  • Design and conduct murine bone marrow transplantation experiments
  • Analysis of murine and human immune cells via flow cytometry
  • Culture of human immune cells
  • Analysis of patient material
  • Writing scientific manuscripts
  • Presentation of data on international Meetings

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in life sciences
  • Experience in animal models, cell culture, flow cytometry or immunology is of advantage
  • Strong interest in immunology and the medical background of the project
  • Enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented research group
