Aufgaben und Verantwortungsbereich

  • Lead and/or contribute of development and innovation projects of cast resin / dry type transformers

  • Perform FEM simulations (electric and magnetic fields)

  • Support the development and optimization of software/tools for dimensioning of dry type transformers

  • Support the development of software/tools for implementing detailed simulations of dry type transformers

  • Optimization and further development of existing technology and products considering high-voltage- and dielectric-related aspects

  • Close cooperation with technical departments of BU and SGB-SMIT Group international locations

  • Technical customer support and consulting of internal departments (sales, service, purchasing, etc.)

  • Support of BU and SGB-SMIT Group international locations in performing type- and special tests on prototypes and serial products

  • Support with direct contribution to BU and SGB-SMIT Group international locations in designing and development of specific test set-ups

  • Prepare, set up and supervise trials in R&D trial test field
    Supervise testing facilities in R&D trial test field

  • Support and contribute to RCAs

  • Supervising type- / special tests and certifications at external laboratories worldwide

  • Proper documentation of all activities by means of technical documentation in form of technical reports, procedure, protocols, and presentations

  • Internal reporting of project progress on BU- and group-wide platforms

  • Preparation of scientific publications

  • Support cooperation with universities by MSc or PhD students’ theses supervision

  • Representation of the company to the outside, if necessary, representation in committees, symposia, etc.

Voraussetzungen

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering (focus on high-voltage engineering) or physics desirable

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in high-voltage engineering desirable – ideally in the field of power transformers

  • Knowledge and experience in electric- and magnetic field simulations desirable

  • Knowledge and experience in supervising high voltage test set-ups and test facilities desirable

  • Project management experience in an international and multicultural environment

  • Very good English skills both written and spoken (min. C1 level)

  • Inner motivation for permanent further development

  • High level of sociability, teamwork, and communication
