Team Leader (m/f/d) R&D Dry-Type/ Cast Resin Transformers in Regensburg

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the R&D team for dry-type/cast resin transformers
  • Responsibility for work and testing facility in the trial field for dry-type/cast resin transformer 
  • Ensuring and implementing legal requirements and company guidelines for occupational health and safety
  • Personnel/investment/budget-planning and responsibility
  • Methodical identification, selection and prioritization of R&D projects
  • Driving force for the continuous further development of the product, idea generator for seminal development topics
  • Coordination and monitoring of R&D projects, reporting and representation within the SGB-SMIT Group
  • Monitoring of the development process, the associated technical documentation and KPIs
  • Lead of and/or collaboration in further developments, optimizations and rationalizations of existing products as well as market-related new developments 
  • Close cooperation with internal departments (purchasing, production, engineering, sales) regarding their requirements for further developments as well as structured coordination during the implementation phase 
  • Collaboration in the development and annual adjustment of the BU DRY strategy
  • Technical customer support and consulting of internal departments (sales, service, purchasing, etc.)
  • Representation of the company to the outside, if necessary, representation in committees, symposia, etc.
  • Directly manage the BU DRY R&D project portfolio including assigned budget
  • Thoroughly applying stage gate model to R&D projects in coordination with BU Engineering manager and Group Technology Manager
  • Coordinate and drive the development of accurate scientific and technical papers/technical reports to promote the R&D activities within and outside the Group
  • Take care of Project deliverables with deep focus in developing the required documentation to facilitate R&D ideas/new product implementation into the BU DRY design platform 
  • Design and rollout common process linked to new product development to support prototyping and subsequent production implementation as needed 
  • Promote collaboration between the R&D team within different locations and BUs

Voraussetzungen

  • Academic studies in electrical engineering (focus on power or high-voltage engineering) or in physics
  • Several years of experience in the field of power and/or high-voltage engineering, ideally in the area of power transformers
  • Leadership skills
  • Several years of experience as a team leader desirable
  • Experience and knowledge in the area of responsibility in occupational safety especially in the area of electrical test/trial field desirable
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken (min. C1 level)
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, ability to work under pressure and independent working style
  • Very good time, problem, conflict and project management as well as organizational skills
  • Structured way of working and process-oriented thinking and acting
  • Strong entrepreneurial behavior
  • Willingness for permanent further development
  • High level of sociability, teamwork and communication skills
  • Confident, authoritative appearance
